Explore Richmond beginning on the CapTrail through Rocketts Landing, to Great Shiplock Park, Kanawah Canal and through the floodwall. Then to Main Street Station/17th St Farmers Market and on to Church Hill, St. John’s Church, Libby Hill, Chimborazo Park and through Gillies Creek Park to Stone Brewing Tap Room. We’ll make a quick stop at Stone for anyone wanting to grab a drink or snack (on your own dime) before our final ride back to the Kul Wheels shop.

Tour Description

This guided 2-2.5 hour electric bike tour is approximately 14 miles round trip. We begin on the Virginia Capital Trail and travel west through Rocketts Landing, to Great Shiplock Park, and continue along the Low Line overlooking the banks of Richmond’s historic Kanawah Canal and through Richmond’s floodwall. From there we will ride to Main Street Station/17th St Farmers Market. Next we’ll effortlessly ride up to Church Hill with stops at Historic St. John’s Church (“Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!”), Libby Hill, Chimborazo Park, down the “Wee Hill” and over to Stone Brewing Tap Room. We’ll make a quick stop at Stone for anyone wanting to grab a beer before our final ride back to the Kul Wheels shop.

All Riders Must

  • Wear a helmet
  • Show a valid photo ID
  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Be able to confidently ride a bike
  • Fill out this WAIVER online before arriving

Tipping

  • If your guide did a great job, it is typical to tip a standard gratuity of 20% of the retail price of the tour. (So please remember to bring along some extra cash.)

Bummer, your plans have changed. You MUST contact Kul Wheels at least 24 Hours BEFORE the scheduled time of your tour/rental to cancel and receive a refund. If you don’t call or email within 24 hours before you tour/rental, AND receive a written confirmation of your cancellation from Kul Wheels LLC, you will not receive a refund.

You must arrive or contact Kul Wheels no later than 15 minutes after the confirmed rental time or tour start time or Kul Wheels LLC shall assume that you are not coming and may release your e-bike to someone else or will leave without you and you will forfeit your payment.

Rental periods begin and end at the time scheduled or time paid (if the rental is done at the shop). If the rental is not returned on time, a late charge of $25.00 – $50.00 per hour (or portion of that hour) will be applied. 

Dang It! The Weather is Not Playing Nicely. Kul Wheel LLC’s guides are always ready to ride, but if the forecast reflects a strong likelihood for thunderstorms, hurricanes, sleet, snow, high winds (20 mph or greater), other wraths of Mother Nature, as determined in Kul Wheels LLC’s sole discretion, OR if it is below 45 degrees (F) or above 100 degrees (F) at the time of my scheduled ride, Kul Wheels LLC will cancel the tour to keep you safe. Kul Wheels LLC may “rain check” my reservation to another day (subject to availability) OR provide a refund.

For your safety, the group’s safety, and the safety of Kul Wheel LLC’s staff and equipment, all participants MUST be able to CONFIDENTLY ride a bike. If a guest is not riding confidently enough to travel safely on Richmond trails and streets, Kul Wheels LLC will prohibit that guest from riding and will not issue a refund. deposit. If a rider is intoxicated, exhibits unsafe or dangerous riding such as jumping (our fleet bikes are NOT e-mountain bikes), for their own safety and the safety of others, Kul Wheels will prohibit that guest from riding and no refund will be allowed.

If you have an accident while riding, DO NOT continue riding the e-bike. If it’s an emergency, dial 911. If it is not an emergency, contact Kul Wheels immediately via phone and await instructions.
